He has been involved in the promotion of Bamboo for its social, ecological industrial, and economic benefits during his career and is an expert in the management of bamboo forests, raising bamboo plantations, bamboo Agro-Forestry, marketing, and utilization.
As head of Karnataka State, National Bamboo Mission for two years, he actively promoted the programs of the mission for the benefit of the public. Believes there’s tremendous scope for the bamboo sector and should be actively promoted.
Dr. K. N. Murthy IFS (Rtd), former PCCF from Karnataka. He holds a Ph.D. from IIM Bangalore in Public Policy. Currently reviving a dormant company founded by late N. S. Adukoli, founder of BSI last year, and turned it around into a profit-making company.
He has extensive experience in forest research and planning. He has a good understanding of bamboo cultivation and marketing. In my last assignment, he got the bamboo inventory of Karnataka State done through BSI. His Intent is to work on industrial scale production and consumption of bamboo.
An agripreneur with a strong ambition to lead India's Bamboo cause, pursue contract farming and develop bamboo-based industries. Especially in the field of bamboo biomass-based biofuels.
Visionary leader with broad business knowledge across multiple verticals including agriculture, horticulture, Information Technology, and Project Management.
He is goal-oriented with excellent rapport-building ability across all levels, with a pleasant personality, and has strong interpersonal skills.

Promoting bamboo for the construction and related sectors since 1999 through design, execution, advocacy, skilling, advisory, and more. Running Structured courses on Bamboo since 2011.

A teacher-architect- Town Planner with about four decades of Teaching, Professional and Administrative Experience. Past President, Council of Architecture (2011-14), (A Statutory Body of Govt. of India, MHRD, New Delhi).
An ardent Bamboo enthusiast contributing wholeheartedly in Bamboo Awareness and Promotion aspects through Pedagogy, online/offline Seminars, conferences, and hands-on workshops for all these years, introducing, especially students, to the Funtastic World of Bamboo.
Dr. N. Barathi, 62, Agriculture Scientist for the past 40 years, conducted Applied research in Bamboo for 20 years to increase the yield and industrial application of bamboo Power, Bio-CNG, Bio-Petrol/Diesel, Bio-Ethanol, and cement production. “Member & Advisor” in the Bamboo Steering Committee of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka. Exporter of Tissue culture bamboo plants to 25 different countries for the last 20 years.
Dr. Barathi is the Founder Director of Growmore Biotech Ltd., certified by DBT-GOI and accredited by AQIS-Australia. Growmore Biotech was a “Technology Partner” for National Mission on Bamboo Applications, GOI. Dr. Barathi is a Member of the INBAR Task Force on Sustainable Bamboo Management for a period of 2 years and an advisor on the Board of several companies, Education institutions.
Dr. Jagadish Vengala is a Professor and former scientist having Research, Industry, and Teaching Experience. He is contributing to the Research, Dissemination, and adoption of Bamboo and Earthquake Resistant housing in India for the last 16 years. He has hundreds of talks, workshops, research papers, and guided 15+ thesis in the area of Bamboo.
Dr. D.A.VENKATESH IFS (Rtd). served as Additional principal chief conservator of forests and commissioner of textiles, Govt of Karnataka for 4 years as a HOD of the Industries and Commerce dept.
Drafted industrial policy for MSME AND OTHER SECTORS, and implemented skill and entrepreneur development program.
He intends to promote a bamboo skill development programme for the market with help of govt.
Parameswaran Krishna Iyer, Director Bamboopecker Lifestyle Crafts Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. His venture Bamboopecker® is a well-known brand in the furniture segment. Also, Bamboopecker® is doing Bamboo based construction projects at the Pan India level.
Sruthi Subbanna has a Ph.D., socio-economic - ecological feasibility, in Forestry from FRI University Dehradun. She has published papers on various aspects of bamboo utilization and silviculture.
She is well versed with the best cultivation methods on different species of bamboo across India.
